    What is the $SAND token?

    $SAND will enable players to create, play, own, govern, trade and earn within The Sandbox virtual world gaming platform. It is the ERC-20 token that will be used all across The Sandbox metaverse. More information can be found here: https://sandboxgame.gitbook.io/the-sandbox/sand/what-is-sand.


    How do I get $SAND?

    You can purchase $SAND from an exchange (Binance, Uniswap, etc) or from the dashboard of The Sandbox's website. You can also earn SAND from playing games in The Sandbox universe, selling assets on the marketplace and renting any LAND you own to other creators.


    Do I need $SAND to buy LAND and ASSETs?

    How much $SAND will be circulating in total?

    3,000,000,000 $SAND tokens in total.


    Is there any reward for staking $SAND?

    $SAND allows for passive revenues on LANDs - You will get more $SAND by staking it. Staking $SAND will provide several rewards to the users.     What can I do with $SAND?

    Do I need to hold $SAND to play games?

    Not at all. Some experiences or games will be free-to-play. Players can potentially earn $SAND through gameplay and will then subsequently have some to spend on experiences and games which are not free-to-play, as well as assets, avatar customisations and so forth.


    Can $SAND be converted to ETH or other crypto-currencies?

    You will be able to convert your $SAND tokens into any other cryptocurrency via an exchange once $SAND is publicly listed there. __


    Is $SAND a stable coin?

    SAND is not designed to be a stable coin and the valuation of SAND can change based on the supply and demand for it __


    Do you plan on burning sand in the future?

    We are not planning to burn SAND in the future. We are using the SAND that is consumed by users to bring it back into the ecosystem, via the Foundation to support content production through grants to creators and the staking pool. __


    Is $SAND a governance token?

    Yes. $SAND is a governance token that allows holders to participate in governance decisions on the platform using a DAO structure. They can exercise voting rights on key elements such as Foundation grant attributions to content and game creators and feature prioritisation on the platform roadmap. SAND owners can vote themselves or delegate voting rights to other players of their choice. __
